hey thanks so much!! ^^ and yes, the bg was made using the "wave" distortion filter thats part of clip studio paint. very fun to mess around with it and see what you can make

For tough poses or funky perspective shots, if I need to I'll get a reference image, make a guide, resize the guide to better fit the overall canvas, and then draw over that guide.
My screenshots folder for Garry's Mod is actually filled with nothing but untextured models in various poses and FOVs which I sometimes like to use for reference images. I use some pretty wacky models with interesting body shapes!
